Operation Support our Troops (OSOT) was founded as an organization of people associated with the
United States Military Academy: cadets, parents, graduates and family. It now encompasses family members
of all branches of the United States military. As officially recognized by West-Point.Org, Inc., the
non-profit organization founded by a wife of a graduate of the United States Military Academy, OSOT has
neither political agenda nor a desire to critique or affect policy. OSOT strives in its activities to
further the mission of improving the morale and welfare of the military forces of the United States of
America.
OSOT is all encompassing .... it includes Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines, active duty, reserve and guard units.
Cash donations are greatly needed to help defray the cost of shipping boxes to military postal collection spot in New York.
If you can't give cash, checks should be made out to OSOT. Also in need are boxes in which to ship the donated items.
Book sized boxes are best, or a box 18" x 12" x 12".
The rules of OSOT are simple, but the success of OSOT depends on the adherence to these rules:
1.) Because our primary concern is the security of our troops, we NEVER share names or addresses with anyone.
2.) We never give out information about troops to anyone.
3.) All rules for packing boxes will continue as stated:
* No home-baked goods unless you are sending to your own son or daughter
* All food items MUST be in their unopened original packages
* All boxes will be packed and inspected by military family members
* All postal and custom regulations will be followed.
